Ovo to host MKGM Cricket Academy on Thursday

A match between a select Ovington XI and touring side MKGM Cricket Academy U18’s will take this Thursday, 2nd August on the Little Knavesmire with a 1pm start.

The MKGM Cricket Academy is based in Gujarat, India, which is the most westernmost state in the country. The Cricket Academy is coached by Connor Cecil Williams, who scored 7942 first-class runs, with a high-score of 237 not out and made the Indian Test Squad. The Academy has a Cricket infrastructure on a par with first-class facilities in India and past-graduates of the Cricket school include Worcestershire player Ben Twohig.

The Ovington Select XI will feature some of Ovington’s brightest young players, alongside those from other York-based clubs, and will be a 40 overs a-side match.
