Junior Newsletter March 2018

Ovington Cricket Club’s Indoor training concludes this Sunday 25th March, with the club taking a short break before outdoor training starting on Friday the 13th April 6.30pm till 8.00pm, weather and ground permitting.

The Cricketforce Weekend is due to take place this weekend, however, due to the weather, we have decided to put it back another week until the Easter weekend (Good Friday and Easter Saturday). Please keep your eyes open for more details of that later this week on our website and social media.

The club this year again is running the E.C.B. All stars Cricket Programme for Children Aged 5-8 which will be on Saturday morning, so if you know of any young boys or girls that may be interested please pass this on, they can get more details at http://www.ovingtoncc.co.uk/all-stars-cricket/

As in the last newsletter the club has all size of junior shirts at only £10.00 each.

With the York Junior Cricket League moving towards having all results and scoring on the ECB Play Cricket platform – we would like to invite you to register all junior players on our Ovington CC Play Cricket site. The link is as follows: http://www.ovington.play-cricket.com

Josh has put some instructions on how to register for Play Cricket on the Ovington website –http://www.ovingtoncc.co.uk/2018/02/16/register-ovingtons-play-cricket-site. Please be assured that safeguards are in place so the information will only be seen by club officials. The club did try to do this some years ago, so your child may be already a member, if so, can you please make sure their details are up-to-date. I also know that Karl & Kareem put some names on last year. But if you don’t have access, just register again and we can merge the records together.

Thank you in advance for this, if you need help don’t ask me, e-mail contact@ovingtoncc.co.uk and Josh will get back to you.

Special thanks to all our Sponsors, who are helping the club continue to grow it’s Junior and Senior sections in 2018.
