Election of Officers

There was no changes to the elected club officials, such as Secretary, Treasurer etc..

Club Captains and Teas

There has been some alterations made to the Club hierarchy in the Senior sides, especially with the main aim of getting the First Team to be promoted in 2017. With that, and the feeling that second team captain Benji Busby is to be required more often in the First Team this season, Third Team Captain Dick Buckley was promoted to Second Team captain, with his vice-captain last season, Kareem Baqai, moving into the Third Team Captain role.

First Team:

  • Captain – Barry Steel.
  • Vice-Captain – Pete Kelly

Second Team:

  • Captain – Dick Buckley.
  • Vice Captain – Iain Kirkup

Third Team:

  • Captain – Kareem Baqai.
  • Vice-captain – James Taylor

There was also changes made to the format of how Teas are organised for the Second Team. They will convert to the “Tea for Two” system used by the Thirds in previous years.

The First Team will continue with their current system of a player doing one tea per season. Regular players who do not make a tea over the season will be required to make a contribution to the club.

Other club matters

Other club matters were also voted on in the AGM. The majority of those attending agreed that the club should agree to playing some away league matches on a Sunday. They also unanimously agreed to proposals put forward by a local side to have a partnership with them for the ECB U19 T20 Blast (more on that when finalised).

The Club will also continue to participate in the Foss Evening League on a Wednesday evening. Jed Fowke agreed to stay on as captain.
