Ovington Junior News Update

0

Hi all,

Report on the A.G.M.

The key points from the AGM are as follows.

Annual Subs

As there was such a great effort at the Raceday collection last year – Annual Subs will be priced the same as 2015. These are as follows

  • 1st Child = £32.00
  • 2nd Child = £25.00
  • 3rd Child = £20.00

A £5 deduction on each is available if paying by the 15th May.

Membership Forms and Payment details will be available within the next few weeks.

Junior Training

The one big change is that all Junior Training will be on Friday evenings, as a trial for this season. This is because most other teams also have their training on a Friday and wish to play games on a Thursday.

The first Outdoor Training session will be on Friday 8th April, 6:30pm – 8pm (weather permitting)

We still require volunteers on training night to help with

  • Registration
  • Drinks/Tuck-shop
  • Coaching

If you’re able to help in any way – please get in touch!

Indoor Training Update

The last Indoor Training sessions will take place on Sunday 20th March.

Club Sponsorship

The Club is looking to expand its sponsorship opportunities to help towards the improvements to the pavilion and playing areas. We are particularly looking for

  • Shirt/Kit Sponsorship
  • Match Day Sponsors
  • Equipment Sponsors (e.g. Roller/Outfield Mower etc…)
  • Website Sponsorship
  • Pavilion Sponsorship

If anyone knows of any individuals or businesses that may be interested in sponsorship, could they get in touch with the Junior Cricket Club Chairman – Neil Metcalfe.

Team Managers/Coaches for 2016

  • Under 15’s – Alan Fletcher
  • Under 13’s – Kareem Baqai
  • Under 11’s (Hard Ball) – Karl Walker
  • Under 11’s (Incrediball) – Alan Fletcher & Lyndon Smith
  • Under 9’s Championship Team – Barry Steel
  • Under 9’s Development – Benjamin Busby

Team managers will generally be in touch by text or by phone. In the past, we’ve had miscommunication in terms of players who have been selected, not turning up. It makes organising teams a whole lot easier if we hear back from you as soon as possible.

Website

It is always worth checking the Ovington CC website (http://www.ovingtoncc.co.uk) to keep up-to-date with club news. News, Fixtures and Results will be posted on there throughout the season – We also have a Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/ovingtoncc) where updates are posted.

Many thanks

Fletch & Adrian
